We collect information to provide, improve, and secure our Services. The types of data we collect include:

A. Information You Provide Directly

  • Account Information: When you register on the Posted.Careers web platform, we collect your email address, password (securely hashed), and basic profile details.
  • Career Data & Resumes: As part of our core service, you may upload your resume, work history, skills, and application preferences to generate your career profile.
  • Billing Information: If you subscribe to a premium tier, billing information is handled securely by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

B. Information Collected via the Posted.Careers Assistant

Our Chrome extension is designed to minimize data collection while functioning as a seamless application assistant. Based on our requested permissions, the extension accesses:

  • Storage Data: We securely cache your career profile data, extension preferences, and authentication tokens locally on your device to ensure fast retrieval during job auto-filling.
  • Cookies: We read cookies strictly to synchronize your login state with the main posted.careers platform. This validates your session securely without requiring a separate login for the extension.
  • Active Tab Activity: The extension only activates when explicitly invoked by you. When active, it scans the specific layout and field requirements of the job application form currently open in your browser. We do not track your general browsing history.
  • Host Scripting: The extension injects necessary scripts onto application pages across various websites to map your securely stored data and programmatically fill in the form fields.

2. How We Use Artificial Intelligence

We use Artificial Intelligence to parse your resumes and generate tailored application answers and career profiles.

Anthropic API and Data Privacy

To power these intelligent features, we utilize the Anthropic Claude API.

  • No Model Training: We access Anthropic's services via their commercial API. Under Anthropic's API data privacy policy securely processing your data, none of the data submitted through our platform (including your resumes, profiles, or application inputs) is used by Anthropic to train their foundational generative AI models.
  • Purpose: Your data is transmitted to Anthropic solely for the real-time purpose of generating your personal outputs and is not retained by them for learning.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

  • Providing the Service: To manage your account, store your career profile, parse your resume, and auto-fill web applications using the extension.
  • Platform Security: To maintain secure sessions crossing between the web application and the browser extension.
  • Communication: To send you service-related notifications and updates relevant to your account or subscription.

4. Third-Party Services

In addition to Anthropic, we rely on trusted third-party services to operate the Posted.Careers ecosystem:

  • Supabase: We use Supabase for our core database infrastructure, cloud storage (for your uploaded resumes and generated PDFs), and secure user authentication. Data stored in Supabase is encrypted at rest and in transit.
  • Stripe: We use Stripe for secure payment processing. Billing details provided during checkout are transmitted directly to Stripe.

We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third-party advertisers or data brokers under any circumstances.

5. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, and unauthorized disclosure. Your connection to our web platform and data transfers via our extension API are secured via HTTPS.

6. Your Data Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Edit or update inaccurate profile and resume information within the web application.
  • Deletion: Request the deletion of your account, uploaded resumes, and associated profile data. You can initiate this through your account settings or by contacting us.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect technological changes or updates to our operating practices. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on our web platform and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this document.
