The Role
Slasify is building a talent pool of freelance writers for upcoming content needs. Applications will be reviewed and suitable candidates contacted as assignments become available.
This role uses an AI-assisted content workflow that creates briefs, first drafts, and editorial reviews. The writer runs this workflow, checks every fact, and turns AI drafts into articles that sound human and are safe to publish. You will not write from a blank page, but you need a solid understanding of SEO and GEO. Your value is your judgment: knowing what is wrong, what is missing, and what does not sound right.
Location: Remote, open to freelancers worldwide
Type: Freelance, paid per article
What You Will Do
- •Run the content workflow using AI tools and writing guides to create a brief, a first draft, and an editorial review for each assigned topic
- •Review the brief to check that the keyword, angle, and structure make sense before drafting, and flag anything that looks off
- •Match search intent to ensure every article answers what the reader actually searched for, fixing or cutting sections that do not help answer that question
- •Verify every fact by finding current legal, tax, and payroll figures on official government sources and adding inline links
- •Edit for voice by removing generic AI phrasing so each article sounds clear, specific, and human
- •Check SEO and GEO structure including keywords, headings, FAQ answers, and internal links against provided guidelines
- •Find and prepare images by downloading from Canva, converting to WebP under 150 KB, and writing descriptive alt text
- •Submit finished articles to the content lead and update based on feedback
- •Proofread existing articles for grammar, clarity, and outdated facts when needed
Writing Style
- •Clear, direct, and helpful
- •Simple words and short sentences, as many readers are not native English speakers
- •American English spelling
- •No em dashes
What to Expect
- •Approximately 4 to 6 articles per month
- •1,200 to 2,500 words per article depending on topic type
- •Article ready for review within 5 business days
- •Up to 2 rounds of revisions included
- •You will use your own paid Claude account
- •All work is confidential and requires signing an NDA before starting
Pay
- •Full article from brief to final draft including images: from USD 50
- •Proofreading an existing article: USD 20
- •Rates for longer or more complex articles are open to discussion
Must-Haves
- •Native-level English writing and editing skills with clear grammar and a natural style
- •Working knowledge of search intent, keyword placement, heading structure, and how AI search tools pick up content
- •Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT to create professional content
- •Strong fact-checking habits and comfort finding and reading official government sources
- •Ability to spot AI-sounding text and rewrite it in a natural, human way
Nice to Have
- •Prior experience writing for a B2B audience, ideally in HR tech, fintech, or SaaS
- •Familiarity with Google E-E-A-T principles and how to demonstrate them in content
- •Basic understanding of global remote work, cross-border compliance, payroll, or EOR
- •Experience with prompt-based or multi-step AI workflows
- •Experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Ubersuggest
- •Canva Pro account for access to a wider range of images
How to Apply
- •Submit your resume
- •Include 2 to 3 links to published articles, with B2B or regulated topics preferred
- •Write a few sentences on how you use AI tools in your writing today and how you check what they produce
Shortlisted candidates will complete a paid editing test. You will receive an AI-generated draft to fix for accuracy, voice, and structure.
