About the Role
We're looking for our first in-house Motion Designer & Video Editor to bring Pogo's products and brand to life through video. You'll work across our B2B marketing and B2C growth teams, creating everything from polished product demos and launch videos to high-performing consumer ads.
Responsibilities
- β’Bring our B2B product to life through product demos, launch videos, explainers, and other marketing content. Create original UI animations and motion graphics that make complex features easy to understand and exciting to watch.
- β’Create high-performing consumer ads by turning UGC, creator footage, and other raw assets into engaging short-form videos. Experiment with hooks, pacing, storytelling, and creative variations to improve performance.
- β’Edit founder, customer, and brand content, including interviews, testimonials, and other videos that help tell Pogo's story across channels.
- β’Own the end-to-end production process, from concept development and storyboarding through animation, editing, sound, captions, and final delivery. Adapt content for different audiences, platforms, and formats.
- β’Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, and Design to translate briefs into compelling creative, ensure product accuracy, and maintain a consistent visual identity.
- β’Build and improve our video production capabilities, developing reusable templates, motion systems, and workflows that help us produce great work faster and at scale.
- β’Experiment with AI tools throughout the creative process, from ideation and asset generation to editing and production, finding practical ways to increase output without sacrificing quality.
About You
- β’You have a strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional motion design and video editing skills, including original animation and footage-led content.
- β’You have experience creating video content for B2B technology or SaaS companies, whether in-house or at an agency. You know how to translate complex products into clear, compelling visual stories.
- β’You're highly skilled in motion design, with a strong understanding of typography, composition, timing, transitions, and sound. You can create polished UI and product animations from scratch.
- β’You have excellent video editing instincts, particularly for short-form and performance-driven creative. You know how to capture attention, tell a compelling story, and make every second count.
- β’You're equally comfortable creating polished B2B product content and fast-paced consumer ads, and understand how to adapt your creative approach to different audiences and objectives.
- β’You're highly proficient in After Effects, Premiere Pro, or equivalent professional tools, and comfortable working with Figma and product design assets.
- β’You're already incorporating AI into your creative workflows and are excited about how new tools can help you produce better work, faster.
- β’You're a self-starter who takes ownership from start to finish. You manage competing priorities, communicate proactively, and thrive in a fast-moving environment where feedback is direct and iteration is constant.
Bonus Qualifications
- β’Experience with filming or directing, 3D animation, web animation, or code-based motion.
Why You Might Be Excited
- β’Significant creative ownership as the first in-house Motion Designer & Video Editor, helping define Pogo's motion and video style.
- β’Opportunity to work on two very different products, stretching your creative range from enterprise product storytelling to consumer-facing performance creative.
- β’Your work will have direct impact across major product launches, marketing campaigns, the website, and paid acquisition.
- β’Freedom to introduce new tools, experiment with creative approaches, and establish systems and workflows.
- β’Close collaboration with Marketing, Product, and Design teams with opportunities to shape creative direction.
Why You Might Not Be Excited
- β’This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on designing, animating, editing, and producing content rather than managing people or agencies.
- β’You'll be supporting both B2B and B2C teams, so a narrow focus on only one content type may not be a good fit.
- β’Priorities may shift quickly due to a strong culture of experimentation and data-driven pivoting.
- β’The role expects more than a standard 9-to-5 commitment at this stage of the company.
Compensation
Compensation Range: $110K - $130K plus equity. Full-time, remote position open to candidates in the United States or Canada. Includes unlimited PTO with a minimum 20-day vacation policy.
