Job Overview
IRC is seeking a Digital Content and Marketing Coordinator under the direct supervision of the Information and Referral Service Manager to support the Washington Immigrant Information Center (WA-Immigrant.Info). The coordinator will be responsible for development, management, and dissemination of quality, verified, and relevant client-facing information. They will manage the social media strategy and dissemination of content on the Washington Immigrant Information Center's Facebook and Instagram pages, and will work closely with Specialists in publishing content through digital and other diverse channels.
Major Responsibilities
- •Ensure content is accurate, complete, easy to understand, and engaging
- •Collaborate on and edit written and multimedia content built by the Washington Immigrant Information Center team
- •Define, implement, and monitor digital advertising campaigns, both paid and organic
- •Publish relevant and appropriate content on Washington Immigrant Information Center digital platforms
- •Monitor traffic and other feedback from Washington Immigrant Information Center platforms
- •Contribute to the communication strategy in collaboration with the Information and Referral Services Manager
- •Use translation-management software and other tools to prepare content for publication
- •Continuously ensure that editorial content is up to date
- •Review and track metrics to adapt messaging and resources based on user engagement and feedback from website and social media visitors
- •Continuously monitor web and social media performance indicators, review and track metrics within Zendesk, flag criticalities, and propose improvements to the communication and marketing strategy
- •Work with the Information Technology team to resolve technical issues across platforms
- •Contribute to drafting reports on Washington Immigrant Information Center content
- •Coordinate with Digital Content Creator to develop social media posts, captions, graphics, and overall dissemination schedule
- •Manage article workflow, including drafting initial copy, coordinating with legal team as needed, working with external translation vendor, and organizing translations on Box and in Monday.com
- •Provide technical guidance for clear and accessible information provision to Specialists
- •Manage content calendar in Monday.com

Job Requirements
Education
- •BA/BS or equivalent experience in multimedia journalism, digital communications, or a relevant field
Work Experience
- •Minimum 2+ years of reporting, writing, or editing experience
- •Minimum 2+ years of digital content management experience, including for online platforms and social media
- •Knowledge of graphic design software such as Canva or Adobe Products preferred
- •Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience using a CMS
- •Knowledge of immigration and refugee issues; previous work experience in the immigration field desired
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies
- •Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail
- •Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- •Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence
- •Ability to work independently with remote management
- •Fluency in English required

Working Environment
Standard, professional office environment; primarily remote-based.
Compensation
Pay rate: $32 to $35.50 per hour. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
