Overview
Akamai is looking for a Product Manager to join the Global Services Team. In this role, you will lead strategy, design, and execution of Akamai's services portfolio across multiple domains including security, content delivery, cloud infrastructure, and AI services. You will develop and manage impactful offerings such as managed security and cloud operations to enhance adoption and retention.
Responsibilities
- •Create Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), define features with detailed acceptance criteria, and develop essential documentation while optimizing the product portfolio.
- •Define product roadmaps, scope requirements, and oversee the complete lifecycle for managed, advisory, and support services.
- •Develop clear pricing, packaging, and positioning strategies to simplify complex offerings and maximize service attachment rates for the field.
- •Define product vision and strategy by collaborating with stakeholders to align goals with market needs and business objectives.
- •Optimize performance and adoption by managing operational metrics, revenue outcomes, and feedback to enhance service value and minimize churn.
- •Collaborate with technology groups, engineering, sales, and operations to optimize packaging, pricing, and go-to-market initiatives.
Requirements
- •Relevant experience in Product Management or experience in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, or edge delivery.
- •Expertise in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant technical field through practical experience or equivalent qualifications.
- •Demonstrated understanding of Product Management principles and experience with the product life-cycle delivery process.
- •Ability to evaluate consumer insights, usage patterns, and industry trends to uncover opportunities, allocate resources, establish metrics, and assess user impact.
- •Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success teams.
- •Outstanding analytical skills and expertise in managing relationships to understand use cases, challenges, and target outcomes.
