Overview
Qantas is opening a brand-new Product and Innovation Centre in Adelaide, bringing together agile teams to deliver faster, more adaptive solutions that prioritise customer value, continuous feedback, and innovation at every stage of the product lifecycle.
This is a full-time permanent Product Manager role based at the Adelaide centre.
Role
As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining and delivering the product strategy, vision and roadmap for a key part of Qantas' next-generation booking engine. You will drive the ongoing evolution of the re-platformed booking experience, identifying opportunities to enhance customer outcomes, improve conversion and optimise both commercial flight and reward flight booking journeys.
- •Leverage customer insights, data and human-centred design principles to shape product initiatives and enhancements that deliver measurable customer and commercial value
- •Work closely with cross-functional teams including business analysts, software engineers and designers
- •Provide advice and counsel on product portfolio strategy and customer experience to Senior Leaders across the Qantas Group
- •Provide recommendations on product direction, revenue growth opportunities and key commercial decisions
- •Help drive the future evolution of the Qantas booking experience
Requirements
- •5+ years of experience in Product Management, with digital experience essential
- •Experience in airline, travel, e-commerce or other high-volume digital commerce environments highly regarded
- •Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Technology, Marketing or relevant field
- •Strong product management skills including strategic and analytical thinking
- •Customer-centric mindset with familiarity in human-centred design, research and insights
- •Experience defining business requirements and prioritisation
- •Proficiency in Agile and Scrum methodologies
- •Knowledge of the Business Model Canvas framework
- •Effective team leadership experience with a focus on strong team dynamics and culture
- •Experience leading an Agile software development squad
- •Ability to influence key stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes
- •Strong collaboration, communication and presentation skills
- •Demonstrated organisational expertise within complex organisations
- •Strong written and verbal communication skills
