About the Team
The Managed Runtime team operates a technology platform at Salesforce that serves javascript-backed websites and services at massive scale — hundreds of millions of requests per day and millions of sessions — using AWS serverless technologies. Primary adopters include customer and partner developers working on headless commerce sites in Commerce Cloud, as well as Marketing Cloud use cases.
The Managed Runtime control plane service is deployed in Hyperforce, Salesforce's Public Cloud infrastructure, across 22 core FDs, with a total of 23 control plane instances across Core and Commerce FDs. The platform served 4 billion page views during the week of Thanksgiving 2025.
