Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Vice President to serve as the lead for Digital within our Marketing Technology team. This role owns our public-facing web estate, content management, customer data, and content publishing capabilities end to end. The role has a particular emphasis on standing up a modern content management platform, a customer data platform, and the publishing workflows that power our public websites and campaigns, while simultaneously owning business-as-usual delivery on the legacy stack and seeing it safely through migration. This is a hands-on role: you will be drafting the decks, writing the specs, coordinating stakeholders, and driving engineering in partnership with our engineering leads.
Responsibilities
- •Own the Digital Roadmap: Define, structure, and deliver the strategy for our public websites, content management, customer data, and content publishing capabilities. Act as the first responder to business needs, whether it is a content gap, process friction, or a brand-new digital capability.
- •Build the Modern Content and Data Stack: Lead the selection, design, and implementation of a modern content management platform, customer data platform, and publishing toolchain. Get into the detail: templates, content models, taxonomy, integrations, personalization, and analytics instrumentation.
- •Drive External Digital Experience: Shape the experiences that our audiences meet first. Champion design excellence, SEO, and intuitive workflows that set a new bar for digital engagement.
- •Run BAU and Land the Migration: Own day-to-day delivery, support, and release management on the legacy digital stack while sequencing and executing the migration to the new platforms. Keep the lights on without slowing the transformation down.
- •Translate Needs into Execution: Partner with Marketing, Communications, Design, and engineering leads to document and triage requests across web, content, data, and campaign systems. Write the specs, define MVPs, prioritize backlogs, and ensure delivery timelines are met.
- •Coordinate across functional business and technology areas including Marketing, Communications, Legal and Compliance, Data, and Technology to ensure complete solutions, not isolated features.
- •Institutionalize Process and Governance: Establish content governance, publishing standards, review and approval workflows, and platform operating procedures. Champion sustainable ways of working across intake, prioritization, delivery, and documentation.
Qualifications
- •Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Marketing, or related fields preferred
- •10+ years of experience in digital, marketing technology, or product and engineering delivery roles preferred
- •Deep, current hands-on experience with modern headless or composable content management platforms, customer data platforms, and content publishing workflows including the integration, personalization, and analytics layers around them
- •Track record of building and launching public-facing websites and digital experiences, including at least one end-to-end platform replacement or re-platforming effort
- •Experience running business-as-usual support and delivery on a legacy platform while migrating off it, with minimal disruption to the business
- •Hands-on: drafts decks, writes specs, and drives engineering in partnership with engineering leads; comfortable working directly in the platforms you own
- •User-focused: excels at uncovering deep user needs through interviews, data, and design thinking; can build compelling user flows and personas for external audiences
- •Data driven: uses data to help drive decisions in areas like design, content, and prioritization
- •Decisive: can lead and manage projects with minimal oversight and make independent decisions
- •Detail oriented: experienced recording detailed requirements or design documents and comfortable documenting end-to-end functional, technical, reporting, and data needs
- •Flexible: comfortable working in a fast-paced environment requiring analytical, strategic, and operational thinking
- •Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills: excellent written and verbal communication; able to drive consensus among stakeholders and manage expectations
- •Experienced with Agile processes: worked in agile environments, able to break down features into user stories, and experienced working closely with engineers through the software development lifecycle
- •Experience with web analytics, tag management, marketing automation, search, data visualization and BI tools, and agile methodologies and tools
