Job Description
AnewHealth seeks a Senior Director of Data Strategy and Information Systems to lead data strategy initiatives, manage development and reporting teams, and drive data-driven decision-making across business units. The role involves product management, data governance, compliance, and partnership with business leaders to leverage data for revenue generation and cost savings in the healthcare/PBM industry.

Role Summary
The Senior Director of Data Strategy and Information Systems will lead the data strategy agenda for business units and enhance strategic decision making through the enablement of data assets. This role partners with business leaders to leverage data to drive revenue generation and cost savings, while ensuring regulatory compliance and effective risk management. This position is also responsible for product management, data methodologies, data processing and quality control, and supporting both internal and external customers of the data asset.
Responsibilities
•Manage development and deployment team members as well as Reporting Analysts in the delivery of value-added solutions and the implementation of best practices.
•Serve as the primary technical representative for assigned business units and work directly with corporate and client IT teams to resolve issues, including completing security assessments, implementing new IT initiatives, and addressing AWS infrastructure needs including SQL databases, servers, and application vulnerabilities.
•Function as a Product Owner to liaison with corporate data and development teams while providing data-related expertise across programs and projects.
•Develop and maintain data roadmap, prioritize data work, and ensure progress is made against the strategic roadmap. Manage data programs and support strategic initiatives where data management is a critical factor.
•Lead team members in monitoring, measuring, and driving compliance with data governance, data quality, and data sourcing policies.
•Collaborate with business leaders to develop, implement, and champion evolving data capabilities.
•Serve as a thought leader, drive the use of data-driven approaches, and seek to expand the range of fields in which data insight adds value to decision making.
•Foster the adoption of common terminology, language, and perspectives for data management.
Qualifications
Education
•Bachelor's degree in computer science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
•Master's degree in computer science or similar technical field of study preferred.
Experience
•10+ years of prior healthcare and/or PBM industries required.
•10+ years of management experience.
•10+ years of experience with Data Warehouse methodologies as well as SQL database development, working with the full Microsoft SQL Server toolset (SSIS, SSRS, SSMS, SSAS, RDBMS).
•Experience in healthcare technology and online pharmacy claims adjudication preferred.
Skills and Abilities
•Proven ability to create, motivate, and inspire interdisciplinary teams by translating strategic plans into priorities and procedures.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills.
•Demonstrated ability to make decisions and take actions to improve operational efficiencies.
•Technical expertise in engineering, data and business analytics, and business intelligence including: agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban, Lean); PowerShell, Python; AWS, GitLab, Visual Studio; .NET, C#, JSON, XML, VisualCron, PowerBI, Tableau; and cloud-based database solutions such as Azure SQL Database and AWS RDS.
•Advanced SQL skills including data modeling, DBO creation and management, OLAP principles, and indexing.
•Expertise in identifying and diagnosing application and database related issues, performing root cause analysis, and recommending corrective actions.
•Demonstrated ability to architect, design, develop, and implement solutions around micro-service and monolithic architectures.
•Knowledge of non-relational databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra, and big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
•Knowledge of pharmacy industry standards such as NCPDP, HL7, ANSI X12, and related drug database terminologies and classifications.
•Knowledge of Medicare Part D, PDE submissions and returns, pharmacy claims, and benefit management.
