Capital One UK is hiring Strategy Analyst Summer Interns based in Nottingham and London.

• •Salary: £55,500 pro rata plus a £1,000 joining bonus

The Role

Our Strategy Analysts shape key business decisions across the customer lifecycle, from idea to execution. On this ten-week internship, you will tackle a real business problem. Your job will be to develop a strategic recommendation, supported by great analytical insight, and at the end of your time with us, you will present this to senior leadership.

We will set you up for success by providing key technical skills training and support throughout your internship. You will also have a dedicated peer buddy, mentor and manager on hand to help you get up to speed with your project.

As a Strategy Analyst Intern you could be:

• •Finding innovative ways to attract new customers and ensure our products meet their needs
• •Redesigning elements of our card pricing approach to maximise value
• •Creating strategies to support our customers to manage their finances, build their credit, or protect them and us from fraud

What We Are Looking For

• •Currently studying towards a STEM or Economics degree
• •Maths A Level or equivalent
• •Penultimate year student graduating in 2028 (undergraduates, masters, or PhD students)
• •Excellent quantitative skills
• •Ability to solve complex business problems with a data-driven approach
• •Clear and effective written and verbal communication
• •Motivated to drive business change
• •Curiosity to learn and take ownership of your work and development

No prior coding experience is required; training will be provided.

Eligibility and Sponsorship

• •Penultimate year students graduating in 2028 with a STEM or Economics degree
• •Strong quantitative skills and A-Level Maths or equivalent required
• •Open to those currently on student visas, as long as you can work unrestricted for the duration of the internship

The Recruitment Process

• •Step 3: Virtual case study interview with one of our Strategy Analysts.
• •Step 4: In-person assessment day consisting of a case study and individual product interview.

Where and How You Will Work

This is a ten-week fixed-term position based in either our Nottingham or London office. You will spend three days a week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), with Monday and Friday being optional work-from-home days.
