Varsity Brands/OneBeat Dance Brands is hiring a Videographer for their seasonal tour team running January-June. The role involves capturing dance competition footage using professional HDR camcorders, operating broadcast switchers, setting up livestreams, and managing video equipment at dance events. This is a remote-based seasonal position working Thursday-Monday, 8-16 hour days, paying $20.50/hour. Candidates must be 18+, physically capable of standing long hours and lifting equipment, and comfortable in fast-paced environments.
Overview
OneBeat Dance Brands, a Varsity Achievement Brand under Varsity Brands, is hiring a seasonal Videographer to join their Tour Team. OneBeat produces high-energy, innovative events in the dance industry through brands including Beyond the Stars, Groove, Breakout, and Reverb. Collectively, they host over 200 regional dance competitions, 9 national finals, and 13 fall dance conventions per season.
Work Details
•Work type: Remote / On-site at events
•Location: NJ - Ocean Township
•Schedule: Thursday through Monday, seasonal
•Travel required: January through June
•Candidates must be available to work weekends
•Pay rate: $20.50/hour
Responsibilities
•Set up and break down video equipment at events
•Record videos of every dance performance that crosses the stage using a provided stationary HDR Pro Camcorder
•Operate an ATEM Television Studio Switcher with multiple inputs
•Set up and manage the livestream for each event
•Apply knowledge of shot and framing composition, color balancing, and audio recording to capture visually pleasing video
•Handle a fast-paced environment and ensure all recordings and livestream are executed on schedule
•Attend mandatory training sessions
•Comply with all policies and procedures listed in the employee handbook
•Adhere to all other duties assigned by the event director or designee
Qualifications
•Must be 18 years or older
•Ability to work long event days ranging from 8 to 16 hours
•Ability to stand for extended periods
•Ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs of event equipment, merchandise bins, and staging materials
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•Comfortable working in loud, dynamic, and fast-paced environments
•Flexibility and adaptability in responding to shifting event needs
Education and Experience
•High school diploma or GED required
•Previous event or dance industry experience preferred but not required
