Overview

This is a hands-on creative leadership role focused on developing high-performing direct response video content for direct-to-consumer health and wellness brands. You will own the creative process from initial concept and ideation through production, post-production, and final delivery. The role combines creative direction, production expertise, project management, and performance-driven optimization.

Working closely with copywriters, editors, marketers, creators, and other stakeholders, you will turn compelling ideas into conversion-focused assets including VSLs, advertisements, UGC, and other creative formats designed to capture attention and drive measurable results.

Accountabilities

• •Partner with copywriters to align visual concepts, storytelling, and messaging across Video Sales Letters (VSLs) and advertising campaigns.
• •Develop and pitch compelling creative concepts, hooks, visual approaches, and storytelling frameworks designed to maximize engagement and conversions.
• •Lead creative production from ideation through final delivery, ensuring concepts are translated effectively into high-quality assets.
• •Participate in or oversee shoots when needed, working with crews, talent, and production resources to bring creative concepts to life.
• •Source, coordinate, and manage user-generated content (UGC) creators and assets for direct response campaigns.
• •Guide editors throughout the post-production process, including video editing, graphics, sound, pacing, and overall creative execution.
• •Provide clear, detailed, and actionable feedback to editors and other creative contributors to maintain quality and strengthen performance.
• •Own and manage the creative pipeline from brainstorming and production through delivery, testing, and iteration.
• •Coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders while maintaining timelines, priorities, and quality standards.
• •Collaborate with marketing teams to review creative performance data and identify opportunities for improvement.
• •Iterate on creative concepts and assets based on performance insights to support testing, optimization, and scalable campaign growth.

Requirements

• •5+ years of experience in creative direction, creative production, or a closely related role within the direct response industry, preferably focused on health and wellness.
• •Proven track record of developing and executing high-performing creative concepts that generate measurable results.
• •Strong hands-on production experience, with the ability to confidently work with production crews, talent, UGC creators, and other creative partners.
• •Deep understanding of direct-to-consumer marketing principles and the creative strategies that drive customer action and conversion.
• •Strong knowledge of video editing and post-production workflows, with the ability to provide specific and actionable direction to editors.
• •Experience with VSLs, performance advertising, UGC, or other direct response creative formats.
• •Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple creative initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously.
• •Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts, provide feedback, and collaborate effectively across teams.
• •Strong creative instincts combined with analytical thinking and a performance-oriented mindset.
• •Ability to balance creative vision with business objectives, using data and campaign results to continuously improve creative output.
• •Comfortable working independently, taking ownership, managing shifting priorities, and operating in a fast-paced environment.
