Oura is seeking a design-led Creative Director to lead their global creative campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives. This leadership role involves managing a team of Art Directors, Designers, and Copywriters while partnering with the Head of Creative. The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of design and art direction experience, expertise in visual storytelling, proven team leadership, and proficiency in design tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

We're seeking a design-led Creative Director to serve as a key partner to our Head of Creative. In this role, you will step into a clear leadership position on the team, taking true ownership of driving Oura's most visible global campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives. You will be the driving force behind our visual storytelling, guiding the aesthetic direction of major marketing moments while managing, mentoring, and inspiring a talented team of Art Directors, Designers, and Copywriters. The ideal candidate blends exceptional design craft with the strategic maturity needed to lead cross-functional relationships, step up as a trusted leader, and scale a world-class brand.
This is a remote US role with a slight preference for candidates based in PST timezone.
Responsibilities
•Serve as a trusted partner to the Head of Creative, stepping into a prominent leadership role within the creative team to champion design excellence.
•Take full ownership of conceptualizing and driving Oura's most visible global campaigns, major hardware and software launches, and brand initiatives from inception to execution.
•Guide, mentor, and direct the creative team, providing clear, actionable feedback that raises the collective work.
•Lead the creation of best-in-class photography, illustration, film, CGI, and digital experiences with internal and external production partners.
•Partner closely with cross-functional teams to shape cohesive creative platforms that align with business objectives.
•Present high-level creative strategies and design rationales clearly and persuasively to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
•Keep a constant pulse on cultural, design, and technological trends (including generative AI tools) to continuously inspire fresh, relevant work.
Requirements
•12+ years of design and art direction experience within an agency or in-house creative team, with proven experience mentoring, directing, or managing creative teams.
•A world-class portfolio showcasing an excellent eye for detail, visual storytelling, and a proven ability to concept and execute integrated global campaigns.
•Proven experience executing creative projects from brief to final delivery, inclusive of initial concepting, shoot/production, and every phase of post production.
•Deep understanding of brand design, web design, social media content, film, presentation, and experiential/retail design.
•Strong track record of stepping up to lead creative initiatives, manage external production partners, and guide multidisciplinary teams.
•Expert knowledge of Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and emerging Gen AI technologies.

Compensation
•Region 1: $200,600 - $236,000
•Region 2: $182,750 - $215,000
•Region 3: $164,900 - $194,000
