Eataly seeks an Events & Education Specialist to plan and execute public and private events, cooking classes, tastings, and educational offerings while supporting the marketing mission. The role combines event planning, customer engagement, and operational support, requiring 3+ years of restaurant, sales, marketing, or event planning experience with strong organizational and communication skills.

The Events & Education Specialist is a food enthusiast who passionately engages guests in Eataly's mission through events and educational offerings. This role reports to the Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities
•Plan, schedule and execute public and private events including specialized cooking, wine and food knowledge classes, buyouts, press events, tastings and private receptions
•Support the Chef during scheduled classes and events by anticipating their needs and those of La Scuola guests
•Set up dining area with the proper floorplan, silverware, glassware, and marketing materials based on event format
•Prepare La Scuola workstations with all ingredients and necessary equipment for each class or event
•Serve meals prepared by the Chef during events, accurately noting dietary accommodations and courses, and pour beverages
•Clean and sanitize the kitchen area in coordination with the Chef, including removing all dirty dishes, glassware, silverware, tableware, pots, pans and cooking utensils
•Execute side work and closing duties including polishing silverware and glassware, restocking beverages, aprons, napkins and other La Scuola supplies
•Assist with storage organization and other projects as needed
•Prepare and set up food stations for events
•Write and monitor class descriptions; compile instructor biographies, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and sales contracts; create class registration pages online
•Foster accountability and interdepartmental collaboration when planning events
•Build and manage client lists and relationships
Requirements
•Bachelor's Degree
•3+ years of experience in restaurant operations, sales management, marketing or event planning
•Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills
•Outstanding professional communication and editorial skills
•Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
•Knowledge of Italian wine and gastronomy
•Proficiency in Italian language preferred
•Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
