The GrabDefence team builds and maintains backend systems that protect Grab's financial ecosystem, especially on digi-banks. The team develops services that power capabilities such as name screening, transaction screening, fraud detection and prevention, and other risk management solutions.
As a Backend Software Engineer on the GrabDefence team based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, you will design, develop, and maintain backend systems that power defense and security solutions. You will work with software engineers, product managers, data scientists, and security partners. In addition to building new features, you will help ensure systems remain reliable through operational support, maintenance, bug fixing, and participation in the team's on-call rotation.
This role reports to the Senior Software Engineering Manager, Trust, and is onsite based in the Petaling Jaya, Malaysia office.
