Overview

Prof. Marinka Zitnik at Harvard University / Harvard Medical School invites applications for the position of Senior AI Program Manager. This role provides a unique opportunity to participate in cutting-edge research at the intersection of AI, medicine, and biology while fostering collaboration within a world-class academic environment.

The Senior AI Program Manager is responsible for the operational side of the lab's national and international research initiatives, working closely with Prof. Zitnik to support the translation of cutting-edge AI research into biomedical discovery. This position requires a combination of technical background, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across academic and scientific domains.

Key Responsibilities

• •Create sponsor reports, progress updates, technical documentation, tutorials, and outreach material, and maintain public-facing project documentation.
• •Serve as lead operational contact for lab collaborations, industry and frontier AI lab partners, and foundation sponsors, contributing to partner meetings and tracking commitments and follow-up actions on behalf of the PI.
• •Oversee and track multi-site research projects, including project milestones, deliverables, and dependencies across collaborating sites, data onboarding, and resolving scheduling and resource conflicts.
• •Manage activities related to reporting deadlines, data use agreements, material transfer agreements, and institutional review submissions.
• •Oversee onboarding of new students onto lab resources, plan and execute workshops, seminars, and site visits, handle recruitment logistics, and manage computing accounts supporting the research program.
• •Manage lab meeting operations including confirming schedules and rotation of presenters, overseeing recurring project and collaborator calls across time zones, and creating and circulating agendas and notes.
• •Maintain records of software releases, datasets, and project websites, verifying that documentation, licenses, and links remain current, and partnering with project leads on release timing and public announcements.

Position Details

• •Term: One-year term from date of hire, with possibility of extension contingent on work performance and continued funding.
