Job Description
Stryker is hiring a Project Manager for their PMO team in the OrthoTech division. The role involves coordinating cross-functional new product development projects for medical devices, managing timelines and resources, facilitating stakeholder collaboration, and driving continuous improvement in project management processes. The position is hybrid-based in Freiburg or Berlin, Germany, with opportunities to work from home.
Overview
As a Project Manager you will be a key member in our PMO team based in the OrthoTech division, which is responsible for computer based surgical planning and guidance systems that support surgeons along their pre-, intra- and post-operative workflows. You will help drive towards innovative technologies, and your contribution will have an impact on daily work in hospitals around the world.
What You Will Do
•Coordinate cross-functional new product development (NPD) projects for medical devices, including software and hardware components.
•Plan project activities, timelines, resources, and milestones to support successful project execution.
•Facilitate collaboration across Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Clinical, Marketing, and other stakeholders.
•Identify project risks and dependencies, monitor progress, and help ensure quality, timeline, and business objectives are achieved.
•Drive continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and ways of working.
•Partner with global colleagues and external partners to bring innovative medical technologies from concept to market.
What You Need
Required:
•Master's degree in Engineering, Medical Technology, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.
•3+ years of professional experience in project coordination, project management, engineering, product development, or a related field.
•Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
•Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
•Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented mindset.
•Fluent English communication skills.
Preferred:
•Experience in medical devices, healthcare, life sciences, or another regulated industry.
•Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
•Exposure to software, hardware, or new product development (NPD).
•Experience collaborating with international and cross-functional teams.
•Project management certification (e.g. CAPM, Scrum Master) or willingness to pursue one.
Work Environment
This role is based in Freiburg or Berlin, Germany, with a hybrid working model. Flexible working hours are available, with regular on-site presence expected to maintain relationships with colleagues and departments. Travel is approximately 10%.
Compensation
Monthly salary range for Freiburg/Stetten (39 hours): 5,305 EUR to 8,875 EUR. The role may also be eligible for incentive compensation and Stryker's comprehensive benefits package.
