GE Healthcare is seeking a Strategic Imaging Account Manager for the North East of England Region. This senior sales position focuses on managing long-term customer relationships with NHS Trusts and private clinics, driving business development and growth of medical imaging solutions. The role involves strategic account management, territory leadership, sales target achievement, and serving as the key interface between GE and assigned accounts.
Overview
The Strategic Imaging Account Manager (SAM) is a key position within the Imaging Sales Team responsible for managing the long-term success of GE Healthcare's relationship in the North East of England Region. This role addresses the changing market requirements and challenges facing the NHS and its delivery of healthcare services. It is suited to a Senior Salesperson who is passionate about driving and winning business and creating meaningful relationships with customers and partners.
Reports to: Regional Sales Manager, UK North
Responsibilities
•Act as the key interface between the business and assigned customer accounts, owning the customer relationship
•Understand customer needs, competitor offerings, and micro and macro environmental changes to position GE solutions effectively
•Work through all opportunities for assigned accounts, leveraging for new business and installed base management including upgrades
•Manage short to medium term goals to deliver annual orders and sales targets
•Maintain CRM tools, keeping all opportunities and relevant account and customer information up to date to support accurate forecasting
•Own and be accountable for territory administration including the complete sales process from lead generation to revenue recognition and tender management
•Manage the sales funnel over a long-term horizon
•Build long-term strategic alliances with GE accounts to protect against competitive threats and grow target accounts with an effective switch strategy for competitor installed base
•Maintain a strong focus on Commercial Excellence
•Continuously improve the customer experience with a customer-centric mindset
•Work across the matrixed organisation giving customers one point of contact while maximising GE opportunities
•Collaborate with sales leaders and teams to increase prospects and drive closure of opportunities
•Forecast orders and sales for assigned territory and submit bi-weekly reports
•Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products and company value
•Support the Regional Sales Manager in driving customer satisfaction, orders, revenue, and growth
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge and experience in selling medical imaging technology capital goods in the national healthcare environment
•Significant sales account management experience
•Excellent oral and written communications skills in English
•Excellent organisational, presentation, interpersonal, influencing, and negotiating skills
•Ability to present ideas to senior customers in a way that produces understanding, impact, and value
•Ability to problem solve and deliver high quality results under pressure
•High degree of commercial creativity and business rigour with an entrepreneurial mindset
•Able to develop and execute account level strategies with a OneGE mindset
•Strong analytical and process skills
•Knowledge of sales and service operating procedures
•Product and competitor knowledge
•Strong in MS Office Suite, Salesforce (SFDC), and CRM tools
•Flexible and able to travel between locations in the UK depending on customer need
•Valid motor vehicle licence
Desired Skills
•Must reside in the North East of England
•Commercial experience of large capital equipment sales
•Proven track record of sales experience in the imaging diagnostics environment
•UK medical imaging market understanding
•Experience in the healthcare industry including knowledge of NHS organisation
