About the Role
The HRIS Analyst - Workday Time Tracking is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Workday Time Tracking and Absence. This role partners with HR/ER, Payroll, and Integrations teams to ensure time entry, approvals, calculations, and outputs are accurate and scalable. A key component of the role is delivering time tracking reporting and analytics, including operational dashboards, compliance reporting, and data quality monitoring.

How You Will Make an Impact
- •Configure and maintain Time Tracking components including time entry templates, time calculations, time blocks, time types, and eligibility rules
- •Configure time approval workflows (Business Processes), validations, and condition rules
- •Maintain Work Schedule Calendars and Period Schedules as they relate to Time Tracking
- •Configure External Earnings for Time Tracking
- •Align Time Off and Absence configuration as it impacts time entry
- •Support testing and deployment of new countries, time policies, contractual requirements, or regional time rules
- •Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to time entry, approvals, calculations, and downstream payroll impacts
- •Manage configuration changes across environments, maintain documentation, and enforce change control
Reporting and Analytics
- •Develop and maintain Workday reports for time tracking including time entry compliance, overtime, premium time, shift differentials, and exceptions
- •Build audit and reconciliation reports supporting payroll
- •Create and maintain Advanced Reports, Matrix Reports, and Composite Reports as needed
- •Build Calculated Fields using ESI, LRV, arithmetic, and date logic to support reporting needs
- •Configure report prompts, security, and distribution schedules including burst reporting
- •Partner with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and translate them into efficient Workday reporting solutions
Stakeholder Partnership
- •Partner with HR and Payroll to gather requirements and recommend best practice configurations
- •Partner with HR/ER team on setup and testing
- •Facilitate working sessions for solution design covering end-to-end time processes and reporting outcomes
Testing, Release, and Continuous Improvement
- •Create test plans and execute unit, system, and regression testing for time configuration changes and reporting
- •Support Workday releases by assessing impact to Time Tracking and validating critical reports
- •Monitor data quality and configuration health and proactively recommend improvements
Required Experience
- •3-5+ years of Workday configuration experience with strong emphasis on Time Tracking
- •Workday Pro certification in Time Tracking or equivalent practical experience
- •Proven experience building Workday reporting supporting Time Tracking operations and payroll readiness
- •Hands-on experience with Business Process configuration and condition rules, time calculations and eligibility rules, and calculated fields and report optimization
- •Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with ability to translate policy into system configuration
- •Excellent communication skills with ability to work with both technical and non-technical partners
Preferred Qualifications
- •Experience supporting multi-country or multi-region time policies, works council or union rules, or complex pay rules
- •Exposure to integrations impacting time such as payroll interfaces
- •Workday Absence configuration experience
