Job Description
Sleep Number is seeking a Contract Recruiter for a high-volume recruitment role. The position is fully remote and covers a peak season with an expected 6-month duration and potential extension. The recruiter will independently manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, and partnering with hiring teams. Key responsibilities include managing the ATS (Workday), building candidate pipelines, conducting phone screens, and supporting onboarding. The role requires 3+ years of recruiting experience, advanced sourcing skills, and familiarity with various recruitment tools and platforms.

Role
As a Contract Recruiter, you will be accountable for independently consulting on and recruiting for a variety of high-volume roles, including individual contributors and managers.
Primary Responsibilities
•Identify qualified candidates through competency-based phone screens, while accurately representing Sleep Number.
•Manage Applicant Tracking System (Workday) to ensure information and data is accurate and up-to-date.
•Proactively approach talent acquisition challenges and gain market intelligence and hiring trends in order to stay competitive.
•Regularly source and build a pipeline of candidates through networking, cold-calling, and various social tools (LinkedIn, Indeed, ATS, CRM, Job Boards, Social/Digital channels, etc.).
•Partner with the interview team, Talent Acquisition Coordinator team, HR Business Partners, and candidates to own the experience from application to offer.
•Provide onboarding support and role model best practices across Talent Acquisition.
•Actively look for process improvements and bring ideas forward.
•May contribute to the development and implementation of effective recruiting strategies that impact the ROI of the overall business.
Position Requirements
•3+ years in a full life cycle Recruiting (Talent Acquisition) role, with exposure to working across a variety of functions and locations on a high-volume team.
•Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience required.
•Advanced candidate sourcing and talent assessment skills; builds and maintains internal and external networks.
•Ability to partner, influence, and instill trust with mid-level business leaders.
•Develop and execute action plans that tie to the needs of the business.
•Ability to analyze and interpret talent acquisition data, recognize trends, and make recommendations.
•Strong presentation skills.
•Stay up to date on legal and compliance aspects of interviewing and hiring.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to appropriately tailor messages.
•Must have the ability to quickly learn systems, processes, and procedures, and mentor others.
•Demonstrates high integrity and can maintain confidentiality and use appropriate discretion.
•Customer service orientation.
•Proven research skills using LinkedIn preferred; familiarity with other social networking channels is a plus.
•Experience with ATS and/or CRM systems; Workday and Phenom knowledge preferred.
•Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Working Conditions
•Position is fully remote; no in-office work is required.
•Contracting need covers a peak season; duration of need expected to be 6 months with potential for extension.
•Must be able to speak on the phone for up to 8 hours per day.
•Must be able to sit or stand at a desk in front of a computer for up to 8 hours per day.
•Hourly Pay Rate: $40.00
