Position Summary
We are looking for a proactive Digital Marketing Manager to oversee and optimize Public Storage's property listings on major search engines, working closely with our digital agency partners. This role will be central to managing online property presence, tracking phone numbers for each listing, and driving reputation management through effective review platform administration. You will use data, tools, and agency relationships to ensure every location is fully optimized for discoverability, accuracy, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Property Listings Management
- •Own and maintain all property listings (Google Business Profiles, Bing Places, Apple Maps, etc.) for thousands of locations, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
- •Partner with agency teams for bulk updates, new listing launches, and issue resolution to maintain high data quality across all platforms.
- •Monitor listing performance, keyword visibility, and rankings to identify opportunities for improvement.
- •Conduct audits of NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency and resolve discrepancies.
Tracking Number Management
- •Oversee implementation, accuracy, and performance of unique tracking phone numbers for each property listing.
- •Collaborate with external vendors and agencies to ensure correct call routing and attribution.
- •Report on call volumes, source attribution, and identify ways to optimize tracking number deployment for marketing and operations.
Reputation and Review Management
- •Manage our online review platform and agency partner, responding to reviews, escalating issues, and driving response rate best practices.
- •Analyze reputation data across platforms to surface insights and develop strategies that enhance customer feedback.
- •Work with field teams to encourage positive reviews and improve overall ratings across locations.
Collaboration and Reporting
- •Liaise between marketing, IT, operations, customer care, and agency partners to ensure seamless digital execution.
- •Develop and maintain dashboards or reports that track key metrics for property listings, call tracking, and reputation management.
- •Offer regular updates and recommendations to leadership for continued digital performance growth.
Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, or related field.
- •5+ years of digital marketing experience with a focus on local listings management, call tracking, or multi-location brand work.
- •Hands-on expertise with Google Business Profile, Bing Places, Apple Maps Connect, or similar platforms.
- •Experience managing tracking numbers and call attribution platforms such as CallRail, Marchex, or Invoca.
- •Knowledge of online review and reputation management tools such as Reputation.com, Birdeye, or Yext.
- •Strong analytical and reporting skills; proficiency in Excel, Google Analytics, and dashboard tools.
- •Excellent organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
- •Outstanding communication and project management abilities.
- •Proficient in Tableau, Basecamp, Asana, and Monday.com for data analysis, project tracking, and team collaboration.
- •Skilled in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with experience in building and styling responsive web pages and applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- •Experience working with agencies across digital listing management, call tracking, or review and reputation programs.
- •Experience in retail, services, real estate, or franchise and multi-location environments.
- •Familiarity with local SEO, directory optimization, and UTM strategies.
- •Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
Workplace
Public Storage teammates are expected to work in the office five days each week with the option to take up to three flexible remote days per month.
