Manager, Software Engineering – Frontend/Mobile

TalentReach is hiring on behalf of a fast-growing robotics and AI company building intelligent automation solutions that combine robotics, computer vision, and machine learning to solve complex real-world challenges. Their technology integrates advanced robotics with AI-driven software to deliver high-performance, real-time decision-making in demanding physical environments.
This role sits at the intersection of robotics, AI, and user experience, leading the development of web and mobile applications that serve as the primary interface between users and advanced robotic systems. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on leadership role combining technical execution with engineering team leadership in an in-office environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
ENGINEERING LEADERSHIP
- •Lead and grow a team building web and mobile applications that interface with robotics systems and cloud services
- •Provide technical leadership across architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment
- •Operate in a player/coach capacity, contributing directly to code and technical decision-making
- •Mentor and develop engineers while helping elevate technical standards and team performance
- •Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and execution speed
SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT & DELIVERY
- •Drive execution across the full software development lifecycle
- •Partner closely with product, backend, robotics, and hardware engineering teams
- •Build scalable, customer-facing applications that translate complex robotics and operational data into intuitive user experiences
- •Support applications operating in real-world and field-based environments
- •Identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational challenges
- •Communicate priorities, progress, risks, and outcomes clearly across stakeholders
FIELD & PRODUCT COLLABORATION
- •Participate in field testing and collaborate directly with end users to validate real-world product performance
- •Help shape interfaces connecting cloud infrastructure with real-time robotics and hardware systems
- •Support delivery of mobile and web experiences used in operational environments
WHAT YOU’LL BUILD
- •Customer-facing web applications for monitoring and controlling robotic systems
- •Mobile applications used within field and operational environments
- •Interfaces connecting cloud platforms with real-time hardware systems
- •Operational tools that simplify and visualize complex system data
QUALIFICATIONS
- •Experience managing frontend engineering teams focused on React and TypeScript and/or mobile engineering teams using Flutter or similar technologies
- •Strong hands-on technical depth with the ability to contribute at a Lead Engineer level
- •Experience designing, building, and deploying modern web and/or mobile applications
- •Experience working on systems integrated with backend services and hardware components
- •Proven success leading teams within fast-paced, highly collaborative environments
- •Strong communication skills across both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- •Experience working with robotics, IoT, or hardware-integrated software systems
- •Experience developing applications for field operations or real-world environments
- •Startup or high-growth company experience
- •Experience scaling engineering teams and distributed systems
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base Salary Range
$210,000 – $260,000 (Compensation will vary based on experience, technical expertise, and overall alignment to the role.)
