TalentReach is hiring on behalf of a growing technology company seeking a Software Engineer to build scalable SaaS products and AI-powered capabilities that directly impact customer outcomes.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys working across backend and full-stack systems, solving complex product problems, and using modern AI technologies to create meaningful customer value. You'll work closely with Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and Implementation teams in a fast-moving environment with significant ownership.
About the Opportunity
As a Software Engineer, you'll help design and evolve the systems behind a growing SaaS platform. The work spans scalable backend services, customer-facing product capabilities, and emerging AI functionality.
We're looking for an engineer who thinks beyond individual features and considers how technical decisions affect product adoption, customer experience, reliability, and long-term scalability.
What You'll Do
- •Design, build, and improve scalable backend services and full-stack product capabilities
- •Identify technical or system-level issues that create friction for customers and develop solutions that improve time to value
- •Architect reliable systems that can scale as product usage and customer needs grow
- •Design, develop, and evaluate LLM-powered product features and applications
- •Apply prompt engineering and emerging AI technologies to improve product functionality and customer outcomes
- •Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of AI-powered capabilities and continuously iterate based on results
- •Partner closely with Product, Customer Success, and Implementation teams to understand customer needs and prioritize engineering initiatives
- •Contribute to technical architecture and system design decisions
- •Work with SQL and NoSQL databases across production applications
- •Build and operate applications using modern cloud infrastructure
- •Troubleshoot complex technical issues and improve system reliability and performance
- •Contribute to engineering standards, code quality, and development best practices
- •Take ownership of projects from initial problem definition through production delivery and iteration
Requirements
- •5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- •Strong background in backend or full-stack software development
- •Experience designing and developing scalable, reliable backend services for SaaS applications
- •Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar cloud platforms
- •Experience developing applications or product capabilities using LLMs
- •Practical knowledge of prompt engineering and evaluating LLM outputs
- •Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL database technologies
- •Experience designing, building, and supporting production software systems
- •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- •Ability to work effectively across Engineering, Product, and customer-facing teams
- •Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- •High degree of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- •Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities and product needs can evolve quickly
- •Customer-focused and data-driven approach to engineering decisions
Preferred Qualifications
- •Experience with Node.js
- •Experience with MongoDB
- •Strong experience with AWS services and infrastructure
- •Experience building AI-enabled SaaS products
- •Familiarity with modern sales technology ecosystems, including CRM or sales engagement platforms
- •Startup or high-growth technology company experience
Compensation
$130,000 - $160,000 CAD + equity
