Grab is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their Streaming Data team (Coban) to build and maintain real-time data streaming platforms using Golang. The role involves designing and shipping streaming infrastructure components, working with technologies like Kafka, Flink, and stream processing frameworks, and ensuring reliable data access for engineers across the organization. The position requires 4+ years of software engineering experience with proficiency in Golang and will be based in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Streaming Data team (aka "Coban") enables seamless and secure real-time access to continuous events or "streams", serving as Grab's unified, common access pattern for real-time data. The team builds the platform for writing, consuming, enriching and retrieving real-time data, and provides a cost-effective, fully managed "NoOps" service for all product teams.

Customers include engineers, analysts, and data scientists across all Grab verticals (Transport, Deliveries, Geo, Ads, Fintech), who use real-time data for state machines, pub/sub architectures, insights and reporting, forecasting and anomaly detection, and online feature engineering. The team is responsible for mission critical systems that ingest and process tens of TB of data every hour.
Senior Engineers are expected to be significant and autonomous contributors, trusted with designing, shipping, operating and monitoring software systems in a consistently high-quality manner. You will work on the Golang components of the team, such as the in-house streaming SDK and control planes, considering appropriate architectural patterns, code design, and infrastructure options to deliver secure, reliable, testable, maintainable, and extensible systems.
This role reports to the Engineering Manager II and is based onsite at CMC Creative Space, Tan Hung ward, HCMC.
