Overview
The Boeing Company is seeking a Lead Software Engineer with an Active Top Secret Security Clearance to support the Phantom Works Open Architecture Systems Integrated Software (OASIS) Solutions team in Berkeley, MO. This position supports the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
Phantom Works is an advanced research and development organization responsible for engaging customers through cutting-edge visual modeling and simulation; innovating cross-cutting concepts and technologies; prototyping solutions to extend current products and win new programs; and developing new businesses and entering new markets. The organization is seeking software engineers to perform software design and development for Space-based effects in support of air domain missions.

Position Responsibilities
•Lead the planning of software development tasks including detailed software design, coding, and unit/integration/functional/system testing of customer desired features/user stories, ensuring successful achievement of acceptance criteria.
•Partner with appropriate stakeholders to inform system definition and review translation of system-level requirements into software requirements and models that meet customer, operational and performance requirements with clear traceability to design, code and test artifacts.
•Review completion of software system-level analyses to identify risk, issues and opportunities; lead integration and deployment of mitigation actions throughout the software lifecycle.
•Lead code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standards.
•Lead monitoring and reviewing test completion, verification processes and issue resolution for software systems.
•Lead review of product and process for alignment with project plans and industry standards by tracking and evaluation of internal team and supplier performance.
•Mentor and coach junior engineers in software development.
•Interface with various software programming languages.
Basic Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree
•Active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance
•5+ years of Software Engineering experience
•5+ years of experience with Java and/or C++ object-oriented programming
•3+ years of experience leading software development projects
•1+ years of MATLAB
Preferred Qualifications
•Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience; OR Bachelor's Degree and 13+ years of directly related work experience; OR 17+ years of related, relevant experience
•Active TS/SCI clearance
•Familiarity with Physics-Based Modeling software packages
•Physics knowledge in one or more of the following: flight dynamics, sensors, electromagnetics, weapon models, terrain models, or flight control
•Familiarity with DevSecOps: version control, continuous integration, containers, code analysis tools (Git, GitLab, or CMake)
•Strong computing skills, excellent communication skills, customer-oriented, positive, flexible, and a strong team player
•Experience with Agile software development process, including daily standup, User Stories, Sprints, and/or Planning
•Exposure to Linux and Windows
•Exposure to MATLAB Coder
Additional Information
•Travel: 10%
•Pay Range: $160,650 - $217,350
•Potential signing bonus for eligible/qualified external candidates
