Job Description
National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR) is seeking an EPM Developer and Administrator for Financial Systems to support the Office of the Chief Financial Officer. The role involves administering Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud systems, developing enhancements, managing security permissions, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, troubleshooting system issues, and collaborating with IT on software development activities. The position requires extensive experience with Oracle EPM Cloud, Groovy scripting, cloud and on-premises integration, and full SDLC/Agile methodologies.
Overview
The National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR) Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) is seeking a full-time EPM Developer and Administrator for Financial Systems. This role reports within the Business Systems group and supports Financial Planning & Analysis. The position focuses on direct support and maintenance of the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Cloud financial planning system, developing enhancements, handling service tickets, supporting daily operations, and contributing to month-end and year-end close processes. The role also involves data governance, troubleshooting, optimizing system structure for improved analytics, and developing training materials for stakeholders.
The analyst will collaborate with NLR Information Technology Services (ITS) data team for data governance, delivery of OCFO data, and troubleshooting EPM system errors.
This is a remote, full-time (40 hours/week) regular position.
Key Responsibilities
•Serve as Administrator of EPM Systems; take initiative to work collaboratively and establish positive working relationships across organizations
•Manage the EPM system for OCFO including security permissions, user requests, system updates, and troubleshooting
•Ensure nightly, month-end, and yearly processes run smoothly; troubleshoot and update the system as necessary
•Collaborate with ITS on software development activities including authoring requirements, solution specifications, and test plans; develop and test custom software solutions
•Provide technical input and recommendations on specific software solutions
•Support business units by researching issues to determine root cause, identify course of action, and bring issues to resolution
•Adhere to the software development process including iterative design approaches, documentation, and standardized support tools
•Manage time and daily activities to satisfy work assignments, performance, and deliverables; communicate status of work assignments
•Implement best practices for EPM administration
•Adhere to Cyber Security guidelines for proper security management and administration of EPM
•Coordinate and support regression testing of EPM monthly patching cadence
•Coordinate and support major EPM updates
•Troubleshoot process and integration issues between EPM and other systems
•Implement and follow proper approval workflows for user management
•Rigorously manage EPM Identity Domain administrative accounts and access
Basic Qualifications
Professional Level V:
•Relevant Bachelor's Degree and 14 or more years of experience, or equivalent
•Relevant Master's Degree and 12 or more years of experience, or equivalent
•Relevant PhD or JD and 9 or more years of experience, or equivalent
Professional Level IV:
•Relevant Bachelor's Degree and 9 or more years of experience, or equivalent
•Relevant Master's Degree and 7 or more years of experience, or equivalent
•Relevant PhD or JD and 4 or more years of experience, or equivalent

Required Qualifications
•High level of experience in technical, administrative, functional, and development aspects of Oracle EPM Cloud
•Groovy scripting experience and understanding
•Knowledge of SmartView and EPM Automate
•Expertise in administering integrations between on-premises and Cloud EPM using available tools including EPM Automate
•5 or more years of recent and relevant experience as an EPM technical, administrative, functional, and development professional for both on-premise (Hyperion) and Cloud EPM
•Cloud EPM experience is essential
•Demonstrated experience leading full scope solutions delivery through analysis, design, and development of integrations, extensions, user interfaces, reports, and workflows within EPM
•Experience writing technical specifications for work to be performed by other developers
•Understanding of full cycle SDLC or Agile methodologies with a focus on quality, development standards, and change control
•Ability to design and implement reliable, scalable, high-performance solutions for mission-critical EPM applications
•Excellent impact-analysis skills and discipline
•Ability to analyze existing code base to avoid redundancy and maximize code reuse
•Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including communicating technical information to nontechnical audiences
•Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices
•Familiarity with code management software including Git and job scheduling in GitHub Actions
•2 or more years of experience with data management principles including master data management, data security, metadata management, data governance, and data quality
•Proficiency in business process mapping, solution design, and data analysis
•Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
•Experience with reporting tools for analyzing datasets (Excel) and database languages (SQL)
•Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills
•Ability to work well in a cross-organizational team environment

•Professional V: $120,400 - $216,700 annually
•Professional IV: $100,400 - $180,700 annually
