Job Description
Georgetown Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in Training to manage and direct all financial operations of their acute psychiatric facility in Georgetown, TX. The role involves financial planning and reporting, revenue cycle management, supervision of accounting and related departments, budget preparation, and providing financial leadership to facility managers. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, with CPA or Master's degree preferred, and prior healthcare financial management experience is required.

We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in Training to join our team.
Responsibilities
•Learn the processes and expectations of managing and directing all aspects of the hospital's financial operations, including financial planning and reporting, and treasury management
•Ensure that monthly financial statements are completed timely and accurately
•Ensure that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis in compliance with company policies and that outstanding variances are identified and corrected timely
•Prepare corporate required reports including the Monthly Operating Report and Forecasts, timely and accurately
•Direct Revenue Cycle operations to ensure accounts receivable is collected timely and uncompensated care is kept to a minimum
•Strive to achieve goals for cash collections and AR days and to reduce bad debt and denials
•Routinely review revenue cycle metrics to proactively identify and address issues affecting overall performance
•Ensure Front End Revenue Cycle processes are in place including insurance verification on 100% of patients, proper determination of patient portions, approval of discounts or charity, and proper logging of upfront collections
•Supervise Accounting, Patient Accounting/Business Office, Health Information Management, and other departments assigned by the CEO
•Prepare annual capital budgets and Capital Equipment Requests and ensure assets and related depreciation are recorded accurately and in compliance with company policies
•Provide financial leadership and guidance to facility managers, train managers on financial matters, and provide routine feedback on department performance
•Maintain current knowledge of healthcare industry trends and changes and ensure facility compliance
•Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO to optimize operational efficiency across multiple departments
Education and Experience
•Bachelor of Science in accounting, finance, or business administration required
•CPA or Master's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred
•Previous experience in financial management or significant public accounting experience specifically related to the healthcare industry required
•Experience working with information technology and proficiency with software packages including Excel and Word
•Demonstrated leadership ability, analytical skills, and communication skills
•Must possess or obtain a valid CPR certification and be certified in facility approved verbal de-escalation and physical crisis management techniques within 30 days of hire
