International Justice Mission is seeking a Communications Intern for their Spring 2027 internship program to support the Africa and Europe region. The intern will assist with project management, regional communications initiatives, writing, copyediting, graphic design, community of practice scheduling, speaker training support, and intranet management. The position offers 20-40 hours per week with flexible work arrangements (in-person in Washington DC, hybrid, or remote) and runs January 11 - April 9, 2027.

The Communications Intern will support program and advancement staff across the Africa and Europe region. This is a Spring 2027 internship running January 11 through April 9, 2027.
This position can be fully in-person or hybrid (onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays) in the Washington, DC area, or remote for non-local candidates. It reports to the Regional Director, Communications and Marketing, Africa Europe. The position requires 20-40 hours per week, primarily during the hours of 8:30am-5:30pm EST.
As volunteers, interns and fellows receive a monthly stipend to help defray their expenses related to participating in the internship program. This volunteer stipend is not an hourly wage, nor wages paid for services provided by the intern or fellow.

A statement of faith should describe your Christian faith and how you see it as relevant to your involvement with IJM. The statement can either be incorporated into the cover letter or submitted as a separate document and should include, at a minimum, a description of your spiritual disciplines (prayer, study, etc.) and your current fellowship or place of worship.

IJM requires a background check, police clearance, and thorough review of references with an employment offer and/or employment contract.
