Position Overview
Solar Project Managers are the primary on-site administrative leaders who work in concert with Owners, Architects, and Subcontractors to ensure that all work complies with Solar project requirements including quality, schedule, and budget. They oversee day-to-day contract administration including subcontract negotiations, change requests, monthly monetary draws, shop drawing review, and weekly jobsite coordination meetings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- •Manage preconstruction services by reviewing owner expectations and criteria through to GMP or Lump Sum contract
- •Negotiate owner contracts, coordinate with design team and owner, establish programs to comply with MBE requirements, and review design documents
- •Identify key subcontractors, promote partnering sessions, investigate site, and identify long-lead items
- •Develop bid packages, schedules, and site utilization plans; conduct pre-bid conferences, identify project staffing requirements, and provide value engineering ideas
- •Develop and maintain GMP or Lump Sum contracts with continuous knowledge of jobsite expenditures
- •Analyze financial ability of subcontractors, prepare revenue projections, and manage cash flow
- •Develop and maintain financial reports, set up project schedule of values, and prepare and process monthly owner requisitions
- •Manage change order process, assist in loss-control management, administer owner purchase program, and enforce company bonding and insurance policies
- •Study owner contracts, develop scopes of work, review budgets with estimating, develop purchasing schedules, obtain insurance and bonds, and mobilize on site
- •Prepare and distribute detailed project schedules including resource-loaded and look-ahead schedules
- •Recruit jobsite staff, enforce company policy, provide professional development, conduct evaluations, and promote employee morale
- •Administer document control and RFI process, prepare monthly reports, implement and report MBE program, develop crisis management plans, and maintain project management systems (CMiC)
- •Manage field operations, conduct trade preconstruction meetings, coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and permit inspections
- •Implement safety and QC programs, manage daily cleanup and rental equipment, and perform daily jobsite walks
- •Promote client relations and interact regularly with owners; participate in client-promoted activities
- •Manage project closeout including warranties, Attic Stock transfer, field demobilization, final payment collection, and subcontract closeout
- •Participate in company-sponsored events, task team committees, industry organizations, and recruiting activities
- •Partake in training programs, continuing education, seminars, and conferences
Education and Work Experience
- •Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related discipline
- •Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Project Manager within the Solar or EPC construction industry
- •Strong computer skills including familiarity with construction project management applications
- •Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interface with owners, A/E teams, building departments, and other team members
- •Strong leadership skills including coaching, mentoring, and the ability to build and maintain motivated teams
- •Highly developed project management finance skills
