Department Overview

On any given day, every moment matters to someone, somewhere. Motorola Solutions' innovations, products and services play essential roles in people's lives. We help firefighters see around buildings and police officers see around street corners. We keep utility workers connected and visible to each other with real-time voice and data communication across the smart grid. And we provide the situational awareness first responders need when a moment brings catastrophe.

Responsibilities

• •Manages the development and/or implementation of Motorola Solutions products or services
• •Coordinates departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgraded existing products or services
• •Manages projects from inception to completion (or transition), including tracking and evaluation of project performance
• •Ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and within accepted quality metrics
• •Participates in project review and status meetings, and communicates project status
• •Utilizes six sigma and project management methodologies to ensure maximum project effectiveness
• •Motivates project team to ensure optimal performance
• •May assist in the development of business plans, strategies, and approaches to take advantage of business opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

• •Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• •Prior people management experience
• •Willingness to travel up to 75% as required
• •Ability to work remotely in the United States
• •Skilled in using Microsoft Project and similar applications for project schedule planning
• •Experience with project risk assessment and risk mitigation strategies
• •Self-motivated team player able to work effectively with general guidance toward objectives
• •PMP Certification preferred
• •Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain CJIS Security and Privacy: Privileged Role certification

Basic Requirements

• •High School diploma, Associates, or Bachelor Degree in Business, Communications, Finance, IT, Management, Project Management, or Technology
• •5+ years of Public Safety, Project Management, or Program Management experience managing complex deployments
• •Must be able to obtain a background clearance as required by government customers

Compensation and Benefits

• •Target Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000 USD
