Stryker is seeking a Senior Regional Sales Manager for their Trauma division in Northern Italy. The role involves leading a regional sales team, managing commercial performance and targets, developing business plans, building strategic relationships with healthcare professionals and hospital decision-makers, and managing both direct sales and indirect channels. The position is field-based with approximately 70% travel across Northern Italy (Lombardia, Piemonte, Liguria, Valle d'Aosta, and Triveneto), with a preferred base in Milan, Turin, Padua, or Bologna.
Senior Regional Sales Manager, Trauma (North Italy)
Stryker is seeking a Senior Regional Sales Manager to lead one of Stryker Trauma's strategically important regions across Northern Italy. This is a field-based leadership role focused on commercial performance, team development, and building sustainable customer partnerships.
What You Will Do
•Lead, coach, and develop a regional sales team, setting clear performance expectations and building an inclusive, accountable, and collaborative team environment.
•Own regional sales performance, forecasting, pipeline development, budget management, and execution against annual commercial targets.
•Develop and execute regional business plans that strengthen existing accounts, accelerate new customer acquisition, and deliver sustainable market growth.
•Build strategic relationships with surgeons, healthcare professionals, hospital decision-makers, procurement teams, and other key stakeholders across Northern Italy.
•Manage a complex commercial model combining direct sales teams with indirect channels, including agents and distributors.
•Analyse sales, pipeline, customer, and market data to identify performance gaps, prioritise opportunities, and implement targeted improvement plans.
•Partner across commercial and operational functions to improve the customer experience throughout the full sales and order fulfilment process.
•Drive organisational change, share best practices across the leadership team, and introduce scalable ways of working that improve regional and team performance.
Required Qualifications
•Minimum 10 years of overall professional experience, including significant experience in commercial, sales, or business leadership roles.
•Demonstrated experience directly managing and developing sales teams with accountability for commercial targets.
•Experience managing regional sales performance, including forecasting, pipeline management, and budget or financial accountability.
•Professional working proficiency in Italian and English.
•Experience using CRM systems and sales performance data to manage commercial activity.
Preferred Qualifications
•Previous leadership experience within medical devices, healthcare, orthopaedics, trauma, or another regulated industry.
•Previous experience working within a multinational or similarly complex, structured organisation.
•Previous experience managing indirect commercial channels, including agents or distributors.
Territory and Location
•Territory: Northern Italy, including Lombardia, Piemonte, Liguria, Valle d'Aosta and Triveneto.
•Preferred base: Milan, Turin, Padua or Bologna.
•Work arrangement: Field-based with approximately 70% travel across the assigned region.
