Montu seeks a part-time Business Development Manager for uMeds (3 days/week, work-from-home with 1-2 interstate trips monthly) to identify and convert medicinal cannabis clinics to the uMeds platform while managing existing clinic relationships. The role combines new business acquisition with account management, requiring sales pipeline management, relationship building with clinic owners and doctors, and compliance with TGA regulations.
Montu is Australia's largest healthtech business with a focus on alternative healthcare. Founded in 2019, it supports patients, doctors and pharmacies through its Alternaleaf clinic, offers accredited healthcare education to clinicians via its SAGED platform, and dispensing solutions to pharmacies across Australia through Leafio. Montu is also the founding member of Cannabis Council Australia, a not-for-profit advocacy body that advances legislative change across the healthcare landscape.
This is a part time (3 days per week), work from home role, however you will be expected to travel interstate 1-2 times per month.
The Business Development Manager (uMeds) is responsible for identifying, engaging and converting medicinal cannabis clinics to the uMeds platform, while ensuring existing clinic relationships are actively maintained and strengthened over time. The role focuses on building new commercial partnerships, managing the end-to-end sales process, and supporting successful onboarding to drive long-term clinic engagement and patient outcomes.
Working closely with the National Sales Manager and broader commercial team, the role is responsible for maintaining a healthy sales pipeline, delivering compelling value propositions, and ensuring opportunities progress efficiently from initial engagement through to activation.
Beyond new business acquisition, the role carries a strong account management focus - owning the ongoing relationship with existing uMeds clinics, driving engagement and script volume growth within the current portfolio, and ensuring accounts are retained and continually supported after activation.
