Job Description
A performance marketing motion designer/video editor role based in the United Kingdom, responsible for creating and editing paid social creatives across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. The position combines visual storytelling with data-driven marketing strategy, requiring the ability to analyze performance metrics, conduct A/B testing, and continuously optimize creative assets. The role emphasizes using AI-powered tools, managing post-production workflows, and translating marketing objectives into engaging, results-driven content.
Overview
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company based in the United Kingdom. The role is designed for a creative professional who combines strong visual storytelling with a genuine interest in performance marketing and data. You will create, edit, and animate paid social creatives designed not only to look compelling, but also to generate measurable business results.
Working closely with creative and marketing teams, you will develop concepts, test variations, analyze performance, and continuously improve advertising assets across platforms including Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. You will use performance metrics to understand why certain creative decisions succeed and translate those insights into stronger future campaigns. The role also encourages the use of AI-powered creative tools to accelerate ideation, production, and experimentation.
Responsibilities
•Conceptualize, design, edit, and animate static and video assets for performance-focused social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
•Translate marketing objectives, audience insights, and campaign goals into engaging creative concepts designed to drive measurable actions.
•Break down successful advertisements into key components such as hooks, problems, solutions, proof points, offers, and calls to action, then develop modular variations for structured A/B testing.
•Review creative performance data and use metrics such as CTR, CPA, ROAS, CVR, CPM, CPC, VTR, thumb-stop rate, hold rate, and watch time to identify performance patterns.
•Analyze individual creative assets to determine which visual, messaging, storytelling, and editing choices contribute to stronger results.
•Turn campaign data and stakeholder feedback into actionable creative iterations rather than relying solely on personal design preferences.
•Manage complete post-production workflows, including video editing, sound design, VFX, motion graphics, dynamic typography, color correction, and creative adaptation.
•Adapt successful creatives into multiple versions, placements, aspect ratios, and formats while maintaining clear organization, naming conventions, and version control.
•Research competitor advertising, platform trends, audience behavior, and high-performing creative formats to identify new concepts and testing opportunities.
•Manage assigned creative projects from initial brief through final delivery while communicating effectively with creative, marketing, and account teams.
•Use AI-powered tools for image generation, video production, copy development, ideation, experimentation, and workflow optimization.
•Apply strong principles of composition, color, typography, hierarchy, pacing, and visual storytelling to create content that communicates clearly and converts effectively.
•Manage multiple creative projects, deadlines, and variations while maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail.
Requirements
•3 to 5 years of professional experience in motion design, video editing, performance creative, or a closely related field.
•Strong portfolio demonstrating motion design, video editing, paid social creative, and social-first storytelling.
•Proven experience creating performance-oriented advertisements for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
•Strong understanding of performance marketing metrics including CTR, CPA, ROAS, CVR, CPM, CPC, and video engagement metrics such as watch time.
•Demonstrated ability to analyze creative performance and turn data-driven insights into actionable recommendations.
•Advanced proficiency with Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop, with working knowledge of Figma.
•Hands-on experience using AI-powered creative tools for ideation, image generation, video creation, copy development, or production acceleration.
•Strong visual judgment and understanding of design fundamentals including composition, typography, color, hierarchy, and visual storytelling.
•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail when managing multiple creative variations and deadlines.
•Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
•A relevant degree in design, visual communication, media, or a related discipline is an advantage.
Benefits
•Opportunity to work on performance-driven creative campaigns across major digital advertising platforms.
•Collaborative environment with close interaction between creative, marketing, and account teams.
•Exposure to data-driven creative strategy and structured A/B testing methodologies.
•Opportunity to work with AI-powered tools for creative production, ideation, and workflow optimization.
•Ability to develop expertise across motion design, video editing, performance marketing, and creative analytics.
•Fast-paced environment offering opportunities to learn, experiment, and grow professionally.
•Professional development opportunities within a performance-focused creative environment.
