About the Role

The Junior Graphic Designer supports the firm's brand presence through engaging, high-quality visual content across digital and print platforms. This role works closely with the Director of Marketing and collaborates across teams to develop assets that align with Dean Dorton's visual identity and enhance both external marketing and internal communications. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented designer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to learn and grow while contributing fresh ideas and innovative design solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Technical

• •Design marketing collateral including brochures, presentations, social media graphics, event signage, and advertisements
• •Create visual assets for digital platforms such as the website, email campaigns, and internal newsletters
• •Ensure all creative aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a consistent visual identity
• •Assist with video, photography, and multimedia projects as needed

Behavioral

• •Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to understand creative needs
• •Receive and incorporate feedback into design iterations
• •Balance multiple projects while meeting deadlines and upholding quality standards
• •Partner with the Senior Marketing Brand Manager to evolve and uphold brand identity

Additional Contributions

• •Organize design files, templates, and brand assets for team-wide access
• •Proactively learn new design tools, trends, and techniques
• •Support firmwide employee communications and internal initiatives with visual assets
• •Participate in team meetings, process improvements, and brainstorming sessions

Experience and Qualifications

• •Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• •1-3 years of experience in graphic design, preferably within a marketing, agency, or corporate environment
• •Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• •Familiarity with video editing and motion graphics tools (Premiere Pro or After Effects a plus)
• •Strong attention to detail with an eye for typography, layout, and color
• •Excellent communication and organizational skills
• •Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and social media design best practices

Software and Tools

• •Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
• •Canva or similar lightweight design platforms
• •Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
• •Project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com)

Travel

Occasional travel to Dean Dorton offices or events may be required.
