DePuy Synthes (Johnson & Johnson MedTech) is seeking a Marketing Manager, Global Growth Marketing, Trauma based in West Chester, PA. This role leads portfolio strategy and lifecycle execution across global markets, driving growth through launch excellence, lifecycle optimization, and sustained post-launch performance. The position partners closely with regional teams, commercial, supply chain, medical affairs, regulatory, and R&D to maximize product value across the full product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Commercial Results
•Achieve worldwide business plan objectives of sales, net income, gross profit, inventory, and price on an annual basis
•Manage expenses within budget
•Strengthen the company's leadership position in the Trauma market
Brand Strategy
•Contribute to the development of global brand strategies for products, services, programs, and key initiatives
•Establish value proposition, targeting and segmentation, positioning, global branding, product launch, and lifecycle management
Product Launch
•Lead and execute impactful worldwide product launches
•Develop brand strategy and marketing materials for all key stakeholders including salesforce, surgeons, hospitals, patients, and payers
•Define price strategy, promotional plan, product training plan, product forecasting, inventory roll-out plan, and sales tools
•Lead coordination with Regional Marketing teams and other key stakeholders
Portfolio Planning and Product Development
•Contribute to multigenerational portfolio plans aligned to company strategy
•Partner with R&D, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to lead product development programs
•Contribute to product scope, provide design inputs, validate product design, and develop launch messaging and materials
•Leverage understanding of product development process and functional areas to ensure on-time launches
Lifecycle Management
•Contribute to company strategy for portfolio optimization and quality initiatives
Business Development
•Identify external partners for acquisition or strategic partnership to fill portfolio gaps or create competitive differentiation
•Develop business cases to gain internal support for proposed partnerships and acquisitions
Customer Insights and Analytics
•Partner with Business Insights and Strategic Marketing to execute market research initiatives around customer needs and product validation
•Stay connected with market needs through co-travel with sales consultants, attendance at industry meetings, and review of medical journals
Business Planning and Execution
•Develop business plans related to area of focus in collaboration with manager
•Apply understanding of the sales process to develop well-positioned market messaging that drives customer behavior
•Partner with the sales force and field marketing to effectively deploy plans
General Business Support
•Develop strong relationships with surgeon customers and key targets
•Partner with Professional Education and Tradeshow groups to build promotional plans around key events
•Partner closely with Regional Marketing and Sales Teams to gather input on customer needs and ensure alignment with product and company strategy
•Work collaboratively with functional areas and strategic partners to ensure business issues are addressed
Travel
•This position requires approximately 20% travel including weekends, both domestic and international
Additional Context
Johnson & Johnson has announced plans to separate its Orthopaedics business as a standalone company operating as DePuy Synthes. The separation is anticipated to be completed within 12 to 24 months, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. Candidates who accept this position are anticipated to become employees of DePuy Synthes upon conclusion of the transaction.
