Role

This is a highly technical, hands-on position requiring an individual who can delve into details while maintaining a strategic vision. The role involves designing and architecting solutions that align with both strategic objectives and tactical execution.

Responsibilities

• •Develop comprehensive software designs and solutions, including system architecture diagrams, design documents, and walkthroughs for various stakeholders.
• •Provide architectural guidance and support to both local and global development teams.
• •Craft high-level architecture specifications with a focus on integration and feasibility.
• •Design and implement new components and subsystems, and review and redesign existing architectures as necessary.
• •Strategize, architect, and support the realization of company and organizational goals.
• •Create an architectural roadmap that aligns with business, client, and stakeholder strategies and requirements.
• •Collaborate with business partners to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
• •Interface with customers to understand system and architectural needs.
• •Work with peer organizations and architects globally to produce cutting-edge software business solutions.
• •Elicit functional and non-functional requirements from subject matter experts.
• •Mentor developers through code reviews, design principles, and design pattern implementations.
• •Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers.
• •Introduce best practices, enterprise standards, microservices architecture, and API implementation methodologies to the technology stack.
• •Define development aspects including technology choices, workflows, and coding standards.
• •Establish consistent product and system patterns to ensure high-quality results and promote cross-team collaboration.
• •Stay current with new technologies and tools, perform Proof of Concepts, and define adoption plans.
• •Diagnose system failures and production issues, working with technical staff to identify and address root causes.
• •Lead teams to deliver against product development plans by leveraging a strong understanding of system and software architecture.
• •Drive alignment of architectures and designs with product specifications.
• •Ensure software meets all quality, security, extensibility, and data privacy requirements.
• •Drive and own non-functional mandates, compliance, and security requirements.

Requirements

• •MS/MTech or BE/BTech in computer science or a related field.
• •10+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• •5+ years of experience as an architect or in leading software development teams.
• •Proven ability to architect stable, fault-tolerant, high-performance, well-instrumented, and always-on systems in high-transactional global distributed environments.
• •Exceptional hands-on skills in Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, RDBMS, NoSQL, and OOAD.
• •Proficiency with SOAP, REST, RESTful, JSON-RPC, JMS, SOA/EDA, and Microservices Architecture.
• •Practical knowledge of cloud technologies (GCP is a plus) and application containerization.
• •Experience with SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and cloud migration strategy.
• •Experience in JVM monitoring, diagnostics, and tuning.
• •Proficiency in Test-Driven Development.
• •Knowledge of command-line tools and scripting such as bash or Python.
• •Solid understanding of Data Engineering and related technologies.
• •Hands-on experience with AI technologies and MCP servers.
• •Strong understanding of AI concepts, machine learning techniques, and model lifecycle management.
• •Proficiency in Python, AI libraries, and cloud-based AI services.
• •Experience in designing and implementing MCP servers, including setup, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• •Knowledge of rule engines like Drools.
• •Knowledge of the payment domain is a plus.
• •Excellent communication skills for seamless collaboration with stakeholders, extended teams, and customers.
