Their technology integrates advanced robotics with AI-driven software to deliver high-performance, real-time decision-making in demanding physical environments.
They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Embedded Systems to help develop and scale embedded software systems powering next-generation robotics platforms. This role will work cross-functionally with software, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams to build reliable, safety-focused products deployed in real-world customer environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
EMBEDDED SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
- •Develop firmware for embedded systems supporting current and future robotics platforms
- •Design, implement, test, and maintain embedded software running on microcontroller-based systems
- •Troubleshoot and optimize low-level firmware and control systems performance
- •Investigate hardware and control issues and support system tuning and validation efforts
- •Collaborate closely with electrical and hardware teams to ensure seamless hardware/software integration
MANUFACTURING & SYSTEM VALIDATION
- •Help define manufacturing and validation processes for PCBs and related hardware components
- •Support debugging and validation activities across embedded systems and hardware interfaces
- •Utilize debugging and diagnostic tools including JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP & COLLABORATION
- •Partner with multidisciplinary engineering teams to rapidly solve complex technical challenges
- •Contribute to project planning, technical decision-making, and task prioritization
- •Drive execution in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on reliability and product quality
- •Support field troubleshooting and customer success efforts when needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- •5+ years of experience developing embedded software systems in C
- •Strong experience designing and implementing motor control systems
- •Hands-on experience with embedded architectures including microcontrollers, sensors, UART, SPI, and I2C communication interfaces
- •Experience working with RTOS environments such as Zephyr or FreeRTOS
- •Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting
- •Experience with debugging tools including JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
- •Familiarity with software development workflows and version control systems such as Git or SVN
- •Strong communication skills and experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
- •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- •Willingness to travel up to 25%

- •Base Salary Range
- •$190,000 – $225,000
- •Compensation will vary based on experience, technical expertise, and overall alignment to the role.
