We are seeking a Platform Engineer to build and own the secure, reliable foundation that powers intelligent travel experiences. This role will focus on designing and scaling the infrastructure, services, and transactional systems that enable AI-driven products to safely access travel inventory, execute bookings, process payments, and maintain durable system state.

The ideal candidate enjoys building resilient backend systems, scalable infrastructure, and highly reliable workflows that support both customer-facing products and internal AI capabilities.

What You'll Do

• •Build and maintain core infrastructure supporting product features and AI workflows at scale
• •Design and develop backend systems powering bookings, checkout experiences, payments, and transactional workflows
• •Integrate with third-party travel, payment, and partner APIs
• •Create secure, idempotent, and auditable transaction systems
• •Design distributed systems with strong consistency, reliability, and fault-tolerance requirements
• •Support model-serving infrastructure and AI runtime integrations
• •Build internal tools that improve the speed, safety, evaluation, and reliability of AI-enabled systems
• •Develop observability, monitoring, alerting, rollback, and operational tooling
• •Partner closely with product, AI, and engineering teams to ensure platform scalability and reliability
• •Contribute to architectural decisions that balance rapid product iteration with long-term maintainability

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
• •5+ years of experience building stable, reliable backend, infrastructure, or platform systems
• •Strong experience designing APIs, services, and system abstractions
• •Experience integrating with third-party APIs and external services
• •Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity
• •Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment
• •Demonstrated ownership mindset and ability to drive initiatives independently
• •Strong engineering judgment with a focus on reliability, scalability, and quality

Preferred Qualifications

• •Experience with AWS, Vercel, or similar cloud-native and serverless infrastructure platforms
• •Experience designing distributed systems and asynchronous workflows
• •Familiarity with payment platforms such as Stripe or similar transaction-processing systems
• •Experience building event-driven architectures
• •Familiarity with durable workflow orchestration tools such as Temporal
• •Experience working with relational and vector databases
• •Experience with cloud-native deployment, monitoring, observability, and operational tooling
• •Exposure to AI runtimes, model-serving infrastructure, or AI-powered product environments
